Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

We offer 1:1 coaching, delivered fully remotely, with availability across time zones. Our services are designed for busy mothers balancing caregiving responsibilities alongside professional careers.

Our coaching is tailored to meet your needs and help you move forward with clarity, confidence, and supportive structure.

How do I get started?

Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form. We’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.

What can I expect from my first coaching session?

The first session always starts with a detailed conversation that covers the client’s daily life, concerns, and goals. We will ask questions about daily routines, patterns, ongoing or upcoming transitions, time use, coping skills, communication style, and community support networks.

Depending on the client’s goals and priorities, we will develop tools to measure progress towards achieving goals over time. Additionally, we will develop visual and role playing exercises to reinforce our work.

How is this different from therapy?

Coaching at The Function Lab focuses on the present and the path forward. While therapy often addresses healing and past experiences, coaching emphasizes clarity, structure, and practical strategies for navigating transitions.

Therapy and coaching serve different purposes and can complement each other.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no fixed number. Some clients work with us short-term around a specific transition, while others benefit from ongoing coaching for tailored support and accountability.

Do you offer group sessions?

Currently, The Function Lab offers 1:1 coaching only. This allows each client to receive personalized support tailored to their specific needs and goals.
